Laser Repairs Custom Bodor Parts Fabrication

Client in Bumbo, Brooklyn had laser head collision causing head mount to bend a bit which lead to improper cuts. Unfortunately that laser machine was made by Bodor and company likes to make all parts custom instead of using industry standard components. When we tried to get replacement parts from them they said its no longer available and they don’t even produce that machine model (even though machine was made in 2019 which is 3 years ago)

To handle laser repair we reverse engineered part and manufactured it ourselves. Luckily this is just a few hours trace and part can be milled on CNC so for LaserCutZ it was not to complex to make our own custom part especially as we build custom machines. Assembled and machined laser head L bracket looks like this (see blow)

Metal Cylinder Mechanical Part Number Laser Engraving

Sample parts produced for a NY window company. Part is metal cylinder and it got serial number text engraved along the circumference. Laser marking on cylinders, tubes, pipes rings etc needs to be done with rotary too. With rotary part is being spinned by a stepper motor when laser works and in this way printed text or artwork covers whole face of the cylinder wall. LaserCutZ laser engraving machine can do automatic serial numbers or date time stamp for each part we engrave.

Gold Metal Medallion Laser Cutting and Engraving in Brooklyn

Same day service was offered for this metal laser cut medallion that was also laser engraved and darkened with artwork. Laser cut metal circle was manually polished to a mirror shine. Final peace came out very nice and shiny. This medallion was used on as a logo on the music instrument.

McLaren Metal Microphone Stand Engraving

Fiber laser engraving stainless steel Master & Dynamics microphone stand for McLaren. Laser engraving done for this project features color change options of fiber laser. Silver disk has black (dark) color of marking while black disk has white (silver) marking. This color contrast allows better visual representation of marketing materials.

For instance most CO2 high power metal lasers barely can achieve 0.4mm kerf (laser diameter) where our custom build fine cut fiber laser can do kerf size of 0.01mm. Part you see on the video is less than 1” in diameter (it’s actually 20mm) smallest hole on the part is 1mm. If such hole to be cut by CO2 or Waterjet it would not be possible at all.
