Client form upper east side Manhattan asked lasercutz to repair their exclusive sculpture that was damaged during moving. Sculpture consist of black mirror and brass frame. Brass got cracked and needed to be re-welded. Crack happened due to original artist using braising to attach brass parts together, and this is not best structural way. We re-manufactured whole holding brass frame by welding it with TIG as this welding method will be much more reliable. TIG welding melts same material rod over desired metal peace and fuses them together dues to high heat created by electrical arc. New frame welded by LaserCutZ will be much more durable and

LaserCutZ just finished cutting massive layer count topology model for an architectural firm in Manhattan. This model includes over 100 layers of chip board laser cut forming relief elevation. Our equipment produces minimum burning on edges and if needed larges material size for CO2 laser is almost 5x10 ft which makes it by far larger then any other machine in NYC

Those flasks are powder coated so laser removes colored pain layer and expose shiny silver lettering of natural stainless steel color. This extreme large format solid glass panel was UV printed with translucency making it work as a light box with LED back lighting. Glass is about 8x8ft in room looks small as it goes wall to wall but in reality its very big peace of glass, black ink back printing it makes it look very upscale. In this projects LaserCutZ did a color UV printing directly onto a ash wood shelves. Printed artwork is a bunch of random colored lines forming a pattern, this job could of been done with laser and then color filled for durability but client wanted to try fully digital printing application. Results came out very impressive. Texture some what reminds us Coach custom skate board project that we did few years ago.

LaserCutZ is not only about lasers! We have other machines such as CNC mills, in case this project its 5-axis CNC which was used to customize existing retail display cabinets. We used CNC with single 1.5" end mill bid to expend sliding slot of the drawer. CNC produces perfect, sharp cuts on wood, those of course can be done with hand router but with machine work results are much more precise and consistent form parts to part.
